Commonwealth
Commercial vessels within the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth are currently regulated under the Navigation Act 1912 and associated regulations and marine orders. These are available at: www.comlaw.gov.au

New South Wales
Commercial vessels in NSW are currently regulated under the Commercial Vessels Act 1979, and associated regulations, although this may soon be replaced by the Marine Safety Act 1998. All NSW marine safety legislation is available at: http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au.

Northern Territory
Commercial vessels in the Northern Territory are currently regulated under the Marine Act 1997 and associated regulations. These are available at: http://www.nt.gov.au/dcm/legislation/current.html

Queensland
Commercial vessels in Queensland are currently regulated under the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994 and associated regulations. These are available at: http://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/.

South Australia
Commercial vessels in South Australia are currently regulated under the Harbours and Navigation Act 1993 and associated regulations. These are available at: http://www.legislation.sa.gov.au.

Tasmania
Commercial vessels in Tasmania are currently regulated under the Marine and Safety Authority Act 1997 and associated regulations. These are available at:  http://www.thelaw.tas.gov.au/

Victoria

Western Australia
Commercial vessels in Western Australia are currently regulated under the Western Australian Marine Act 1982 and associated regulations. These are available at: http://www.slp.wa.gov.au/
