Electrical Standard update
NMSC representatives spoke at a meeting hosted by BIA Queensland in Brisbane recently to address industry concerns about the enforcement of electrical safety requirements on imported products.
There have been reports of distributors of imported boats and Australian based manufacturers being issued with defect notices by the Queensland Electrical Safety Office (ESO). These relate to electrical wiring as well as installed and plug-in equipment and appliances.
