Interpretation 07-01 of the ABP Standard

The NMSC Guidance Circular 07-1, Technical Interpretation of Buoyancy Performance of Recreational Boats in Relation to the ABP Standard was created to clarify the requirements of the National Standard for the Australian Builders Plate for Recreational Boats with respect to buoyancy. This circular has now been superseded by the requirements contained in Edition 4 of the National Standard for the Australian Builders Plate for Recreational Boats for the relevant applications.

Foam Buoyancy

The NMSC Guidance Circular 06-3, Foam Buoyancy Material for use in Commercail Vessels was created to apply to foam material that is intended for use in accordance with USL Code Section 10 and Section 5C Clause 62 to provide inherent buoyancy in vessels. This circular has now been superseded by the requirements contained in NSCV C6B Buoyancy and Stability after Flooding and NSCV C7A Safety Equipment for the relevant applications.
